Metal Braces
Traditional braces with an upgrade!
While metal braces are the most common and widely used form of braces, not all metal braces are created equal. Dr. Kahan uses smaller, less invasive and more esthetic metal brackets compared to other traditional bracket systems.
Choose between metal brackets that use color rubber bands to hold in the wire or self-ligating brackets that are simpler and easier to clean.

Braces that look like your teeth.
Ceramic braces, also known as clear braces, are effective for patients of all ages who are looking for the stability and reliability of traditional metal braces, with a bit of advanced aesthetics. They’re especially great for teens and adults due to their clear nature.
Their ability to blend in with teeth make them nearly invisible at a short distance and in pictures, and are a great way to get the straight smile you've always wanted.

Self-ligating braces, or tie-free braces, in many cases allow for more efficient tooth movement and are easier to clean. Without elastic ties (this is the colorful band on traditional braces), teeth move more efficiently and with less friction.
